. Our History .
Robert POIRIER
He founded La Renardière near the woods where foxes once roamed.
A true pioneer, he cleared the land, won the estate’s first medals, introduced a new pruning method and embraced modernism.
Convinced of Pouilly-Fumé’s future, he steadily expanded the family estate, and even opened a bar in Nevers, called Au Pouilly.
&
Eugène BOUCHIÉ
He acquired a vineyard from the neighbouring château, on the same Saint-Andelain hill as La Renardière, where the soils are composed of flinty clay and limestone.
The union of the two estates would go on to shape the distinctive complexity of the La Renardière cuvées.

gave rise to the estate as it stands today.
. A Family Of Winegrowers .
Drawing on four generations of experience, the family has further developed its expertise in some of France’s finest wine regions.
Bernard Bouchié, a grandson of the estate’s founder, studied in Burgundy and Champagne before gaining experience in the vineyards of southern France, returning with a degree in oenology from the Montpellier School of Agronomy.
Today, Arnaud Bouchié, having spent several years studying oenology and wine business in Burgundy, carries forward the same passion as his forebears.
